Mobile scanner in an operating room : a first in France

The Timone University Hospital (AP-HM) is the first French hospital to have a mobile scanner within a surgical unit, coupled with a surgical navigation system.
This mobile scanner is used for cranial and spinal surgery.

The imaging system is integrated to the surgical navigator, allowing a virtual navigation.

During surgery, the surgeons and their staff can program image captures directly from a touch screen.
