AP-HM, leader in the genotyping of lung cancers

The multidisciplinary oncology and therapeutic innovations department (Pr Fabrice BARLESI) and the Biological Oncology Transfer Service (Pr L'Houcine OUAFIK) participated in a large French multicenter study which was published in The Lancet.

The results have demonstrated the value of molecular typing of tumors for patients with bronchial cancer.

Indeed, this study shows, in more than 17,000 patients, that systematic genotyping significantly improves the survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
